			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft" src="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-o-matic/cache/6499c_healthy-eating.jpg" alt="healthy eating" />Watching what, and how much, you eat is an important part of a long, healthy life, but it can be difficult.  There are many obstacles when trying to do so.  <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">Healthy eating</a> can also be very expensive and time consuming.  </p>
<p>It seems like eating fast food is the easiest and cheapest way to eat.  Now almost every fast food place has a dollar menu, which means you can drive through and pick up a greasy burger, French fries and a large drink for three dollars or less.  Another obstacle is that with most people having to work to make ends meet, it is hard to find the time to go to the grocery, pick out healthy foods and prepare them with enough time to complete other responsibilities.  </p>
<p>Since it is so easy to get side tracked when trying to provide and nourish ourselves and our family with good foods it is important to realize that it doesn’t have to be hard to eat healthy.  There are many ways to eat healthy in a cheap and quick way.  Don’t let all the negative things get in your way when it comes to eating healthy.  Your mind, body and soul will all benefit from eating good food, so stay positive.</p>
<p>One great way to save time and money is to prepare a few of your favorite dishes on a slower day and then freeze them in containers for the rest of the week.  When you want the meal then just thaw the food in the container, warm it in the microwave or stove and then you’ve got a great meal in less than a half an hour!  </p>
<p>Other great foods you don’t have to prepare to eat are fruits and vegetables such as celery, carrots, lettuce salads, oranges, apples, bananas, etc. Fish and legumes are also great choices that take little time to prepare.</p>
<p>Eating healthy is just like anything else you try to do there will be lots of easy ways out and it will seem tempting and easier just to give up and eat junk food but if you stick to eating healthy you will reap great benefits and feel great too!</p>

<p>Before I tell you about the rest of my week I would like to point you at an interesting post on BMI&#8230;  I wrote a post yesterday on <a target="_blank" href="http://www.weightladder.com/2008/04/17/methionine-inositol-and-choline-mic-injection/" target="_blank">using the BMI calculation to determine how much weight to lose</a>&#8230;  I wrote the article knowing full well that BMI will not accurately determine when I reach a normal weight  (I have more <a target="_blank" href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscle</a> than most)&#8230;  Lazy Man articulates this aspect of BMI very well in <a href="http://www.lazymanandhealth.com/goals/how-do-you-measure-your-body/" rel="bookmark" title="How Do You Measure your Body">How Do You Measure your Body</a>. <p>I have been feeling mentally energetic, but a bit unfocused&#8230;  This seems to be a normal initial reaction to the daily <a target="_blank" href="http://www.phentermine.org">Phentermine</a> HCI 30 mg (more on this drug tomorrow).  Thus far I have been able to <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercise</a> every day&#8230;  On Thursday when I was playing golf (I only played 6 holes because of 2 slow groups in front of me that skipped, but they were the hilly ones)  I felt like I was very quick to get tired, but otherwise had no issues&#8230;  Friday we walked from our house to downtown for dinner at a Japanesse steakhouse where you grill the food your self (a total walk of about 1.5 miles).</p>
<p>As far as food goes, I have not been hungry&#8230;  And interestingly enough this may be the first time in my life&#8230;  Oh sure, I have been stuffed to the gills&#8230; unable to eat another bite, but never have I felt the way I have for the last 4 days&#8230;  Generally satiated and not hungry&#8230;</p>
<p>Thursday I had 3 1/4 cup servings of egg substitute with 1/3 oz low fat cheese with 2 tbls spoon of salsa for breakfast.  For lunch I had to be creative&#8230; I was at a customer site and went to the deli fully expecting to just get turkey meat&#8230;  Instead I had them make me a dry turkey sandwich using lettuce leaves as the bread with tomatoes and pepperonis &#8212; it was delicious&#8230;  For dinner I had 3 1/4 cup servings of egg beaters with 1/3 oz low fat cheese with 2 tbls spoon of salsa.  I drank tons of water throughout the day&#8230;  The only downside, I had to get up during the middle of the night.</p>
<p>Thursday I had 3 1/4 cup servings of egg substitute with 1/3 oz low fat cheese with 2 tbls spoon of salsa for breakfast.  For lunch I had a greek salad with chicken and no dressing&#8230; It had salad, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, and a little feta cheese.  I ate all the chicken, but left about 1/2 of the rest&#8230;  For dinner we went to the <a target="_blank" href="http://www.jubanrestaurant.com/" target="_blank">Japanese steakhouse Juban Yakiniku</a> whose tagline is the art of grilling&#8230;  I had Tofu, Zucchini, Shrimp, Ribeye, and boneless short rib all grilled and without rice.  I know it sounds like a lot and I was full after 1/2 of the order, but everything is in small portions&#8230;  I still need to work on doing a better job ordering&#8230;  I think I felt like I was hungry or maybe I just have to work on my dinning out under ordering skills.  Again plenty of water throughout the day and again the downside of having to get up during the night.</p>

<p>1. A huge congratulations goes out to Cressey Performance athlete Dede Griesbauer, who finished in the top 10 (9th) at the Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii for the third consecutive year.  Great job, Dede!</p>
<p>2. If you are interested in a pretty sweet live event entirely geared toward physique transformation, keep January 16-18 free, as you&#8217;ll definitely want to check out the event in Tampa, FL that Joel Marion is organizing.  In all, 14 speakers (myself included) have been confirmed for the event, and it should be an awesome group that brings a wide variety of perspectives to the table.</p>
<p>Tickets go on sale next week, but I just wanted to give you a heads-up so that those of you who are interested can mark it on the calendar.  Keep an eye on my blog for more information.</p>
