			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>&#8220;Yo-yo&#8221; dieting or &#8220;weight cycling&#8221; is something that many people have difficulty with during their lifetimes. It is when weight is lost rapidly and then gained again, equally as quickly due to the way in which the body responds to the lack of calories being taken in.</p>
<p>If you have experienced this you have probably questioned why it happens. Well, when the food you eat contains very few calories or if you miss meals and starve yourself, the short term results are often encouraging but before long your body realizes that there are not enough calories coming in for it to function properly and its safely measures come in to play.</p>
<p>At this point the body makes the decision to conserve all the energy it can and so the way in which it burns off food and converts it to energy, known as your metabolism, embarks on a go slow. A noticeable slowing down of the weight being lost then becomes apparent.</p>
<p>When you find yourself on this plateau and the weight is no longer falling off, you become disheartened and return to your old eating habits. This results in the weight going back on again and quite often you become heavier than you were before you started your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">diet</a>.</p>
<p>This is one of the problems with dieting (as a sudden fad) &#8211; the body&#8217;s metabolism becomes less efficient with each dieting episode. The severe calorie restriction also causes loss of <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscle</a> tone. Less <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscle</a> once again means a slower metabolism. The commons signs of this are flabby upper arms (due to loss of tricep <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscle</a> tone and subsequent fat gain).</p>
<p>The last thing you want is to be at the same place you were prior to the start of your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">diet</a>. This is the reason why following a sensible dieting regime over a longer period of time is much more beneficial, both physically and emotionally.</p>
<p>Aim for modest <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">weight loss</a> (even small amounts of lost fat can improve your health).</p>
<p>If lowering calories do it slowly (i.e. don&#8217;t suddenly drop 1000 calories per day).</p>
<p>Instead of regarding your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">diet</a> as some kind of punishment, think of it as a healthy way of eating.</p>
<p>Consider making a few changes to your lifestyle if necessary. Are you eating the wrong food, at the wrong times and for the wrong reasons? Take up a new form of physical activity to get you motivated.</p>
<p>Give your metabolism a boost in order to break the <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">weight loss</a> plateau when you reach it. <p>To begin with, you should be clear about the objectives. What are you trying to achieve &#8211; increased body mass, toning up or simply sculpting your body to a shape that makes you feel great. Some weight lifting <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">routines</a> are more suited to the hardened professionals, so its not only important to get the right weight lifting <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">routine</a> but also be honest with yourself as to the level of your current <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">fitness</a> and strength before embarking on a programme that may not be right for you.</p>
<p>Some people are scared by the thought of the work involved in building big biceps or getting a wash board stomach simply because they have tried and failed before. People fail because they don&#8217;t find the right weight lifting <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">routines</a> suited for them and doing <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercise</a> of any nature that is too intense will inevitable turn to failing or possibly an injury. If you choose to do both pushing <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercises</a> and then follow straight on to pulling you can do a double <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">workout</a> that is very effective. Even this was too much another option would be to do pushing one day and pulling the next, this too can be effective. My favourite push technique is bench press but leg squats and should press are also good. Shoulder shrugs and deadlifts are great pulling <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercises</a> that i perform in my regime. Try and use your body weight and incorporate it into your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/workout';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">routine</a>. Use the proper equipment such as benches with pulleys and work your way all the way up until you are using upto 60% of your own body weight in your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercises</a>.</p>
<p>Building yourself up will help to make sure you do not overdo it or cause yourself injuries and ensures you can manage the <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercises</a> comfortably. In addition remember to eat healthily and keep yourself nutritionally balanced with working out and eating the right foods and you will have that dream body quicker than you think.</p>

What if you could change that mindset and look at dieting as being fun? Chances are, it would make it a lot easier and you’d be surprised at how simple it can be to change your mindset and get some great results. Let’s look at just a few ways that you can make dieting fun.</p>
<h3><strong>1. Set up some great rewards. </strong></h3>
<p>When you’re working towards something that is really exciting, it’s just a whole lot easier to get there. Try setting up fun rewards for yourself for reaching specific milestones. Whether it’s losing ten pounds, or getting healthier, you need to find a way to reward yourself in a fun way. Just remember that this fun should not include food rewards, or you’ll be sabotaging all of your efforts. Try to stick with fun rewards that involve some sort of activity, or even relaxation. You’ll be much more likely to want to stick to your goals if you set yourself up for success.</p>
<h3><strong>2. Make it an adventure in learning new ways to prepare food. </strong></h3>
<p>This is a great way to make dieting a lot more fun and you’ll be bolstering your cooking skills while you’re at it. Get some new cook books and try out brand new recipes that you normally wouldn’t even touch. Make it an adventure to try out new food from different countries, and challenge yourself to find healthy ways to start preparing your regular food. Once again, by putting an element of fun into your daily food regime, you can easily start looking forward to eating healthier and that right there can mean big success.</p>
<h3><strong>3. Join a fun <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercise</a> class. </strong></h3>
<p><a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">Exercise</a> is hard for many people due to repletion, as well as the physical effort that goes into it. However, if you can find an <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">exercise</a> class that is also fun, you may find that you end up looking forward to going. Sweating to the Oldies is successful for a reason – the participants have fun, even though they are working out. Look into <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/Bellyfat" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/Bellyfat';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">belly</a> dancing classes, hoop dancing or other fun ways to get active and burn calories. <h3><strong>4. Have a friend join you for some competitive fun. </strong></h3>
<p>When you’re held to accountability by a challenge it’s a lot easier to have fun with what you’re doing and to stick to your goals.
