			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Today&#8217;s world has many amazing conveniences that would have seemed foreign before. Perhaps the greatest of which is fast food. This now infamous way of easily grabbing a bite to eat may seem harmless, but if you&#8217;re busy trying to balance your lifestyle with work, education, family, or other important things &#8211; there is an extremely high chance that fast food is the only source of &#8220;<a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">nutrition</a>&#8221; you live on.</p>
<p>Perhaps you should take a second to ponder whether or not the food you consume on a daily basis is healthy or not. If you&#8217;re eating fast food every day, you might not want to seriously consider that question, but it&#8217;s important to do so. Although these quick and easy foods may be convenient and filling, it&#8217;s only because of the terrible ingredients it contains.</p>
<p>Before you succumb to the harmful substances of fast food, why not try to go for healthier meals and consequently, a healthier you.</p>
<p>Eating healthier doesn&#8217;t mean spending an hour cooking. That wouldn&#8217;t be a feasible solution for your situation. There are many healthy foods that you can purchase in your supermarket, and not feel guilty about consuming them.</p>
<p>Rather than having that fatty pizza with those extra cheesy crusts, maybe you could get some nice fruit, like bananas, and melons, and kiwi, at your local green grocer and take them with you. The best thing is these options won&#8217;t cost as much and are better for you.</p>
<p>What about breakfast? Instead of bacon and eggs, why not have muesli and fresh juice. Then you could have a nice snack bar. These are simple and healthy options that will be better for you in the long run.</p>
<p>It is also wise to eat small snacks during the day consisting of healthy foods. This can be a bunch of nuts, dried fruits or a few pieces of turkey to hold you over until your next meal.</p>
<p>Of course, you can still treat yourself to a cholesterol filled meal every once in a while. However, minimizing those will greatly reduce the risks for lifestyle-related diseases in the long run.</p>

Carbohydrates are foods such as cookies, breads, fruit, pasta and potatoes.</p>
<p>These foods are transformed into glucose once the starch and sugar they contain have been broken down inside your body. Glucose gives your brain and <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscles</a> the energy they need to function correctly.</p>
<p>If the glucose is not used by your body as energy, it&#8217;s converted into a substance called glycogen. Your liver and <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscles</a> are where the glycogen is then stored as an energy reserve.</p>
<p>About half of your body&#8217;s daily glycogen requirements can be stored in this way. However, if you eat more carbohydrates than you can burn off or store as glycogen, then whatever&#8217;s left will be turned into fat. This is what you don&#8217;t want to happen if you&#8217;re trying to reduce your waistline.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take a closer look at carbohydrates, which exist in both &#8217;simple&#8217; and &#8216;complex&#8217; forms.</p>
<p>Simple carbohydrates are contained in very sweet tasting foods such as candy, honey, sugar, fruit and cookies. They are known as &#8217;simple&#8217; because they go into your bloodstream very quickly to supply your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscles</a> with the power they need.</p>
<p>Complex carbohydrates are provided by vegetables and grains, such as rice or wheat. More nutritious than simple carbs because they furnish our bodies with necessary vitamins, minerals and fiber, they also have the advantage of releasing energy into the bloodstream more slowly.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s advisable to try not to eat too many carbs in one go, as this overloads the system, but eat small portions frequently in the course of the day. This allows you to cover your energy needs without inducing your body to store fat.</p>
<p>A lack of carbohydrates in your <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/diet';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">diet</a> reduces your energy and leaves you feeling very tired. You always need to have a reserve of energy in order to stay healthy and active.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you really want to get a lean and toned body, you have to increase the amount of calories you burn around the clock by raising your basal metabolic rate.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, you&#8217;ve probably been fed a bunch of lies when it comes to BMR and how to raise it. Extract X, for instance, will not significantly raise your BMR no matter what the infomercial says.</p>
<p>Thus, here are 6 things that affect how many calories you burn around the clock:</p>
<p><b>1. Age.</b> As you age, BMR goes down because you lose <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/muscle';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">muscle mass</a>. What&#8217;s the best way to prevent this? With resistance <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/exercisetips';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">training</a> that is intense. A solid resistance <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/training';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">training</a> program will do wonders for your BMR in additional to your hormonal profile.</p>
<p><b>2. Body composition.</b> The more lean tissue the more calories you&#8217;ll burn around the clock. Again, building lean tissue will keep that BMR full blast. And if you feed the mitochondria in your lean tissue the right nutrients, you&#8217;ll burn even more calories.</p>
<p><b>3. A high fever.</b> A strong fever will also raise your BMR. Does this mean you should try to get sick? Absolutely not, but it doesn&#8217;t hurt to know the facts.</p>
<p><b>4. Catabolic hormones.</b> In the short run, stress hormones will cause your BMR to go up. But caution is warranted here because over the long run, said hormones will actually lower your BMR because of lean tissue loss.</p>
<p><b>5. Going from cold to hot.</b> Any time you go from a cold environment to a hot environment, and vice versa, your BMR goes up. Your body has to adjust to the temperature differential and you burn more calories.</p>
<p><b>6. Starvation.</b> The hormones released from a period of fasting or starvation will lower your BMR. And this happens very quickly. So never go more than a couple hours between meals, five hours max.</p>

<p>How was this killer born? Well, during the 1900&#8217;s a couple chemists figured out that hydrogenation extended the shelf life of vegetable oils. Too bad they didn&#8217;t know how much damage their new discovery would cause.</p>
<p>Because unfortunately, this new Franken fat would be responsible for the greatest amount of deaths of any nutrient in U.S. history.</p>

<p><b>2. There is NO safe limit.</b> The food industry would have you believe that around 40 calories of trans fatty acids per day will do no harm. Yet the most elite academic institutions recommend zero intake. Also, many states are in the process of banning trans fats.</p>
<p><b>3. They raise triglycerides within your blood.</b> Triglycerides are your body&#8217;s storage form of fat. When you eat fat it gets broken down and then reassembled into triglyceride form. So trans fats will definitely hinder your slim arm mission!</p>
<p><b>4. They raise the worst type of cholesterol.</b> What&#8217;s the worst type? Dense LDL particles are the bad ones. In other words, they clog up your arteries which is not good for your heart and they reduce circulation which is not good for getting thin arms.</p>

How are supposed to choose the right one? Picking the right nutritional approach for maximizing arm <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/fatloss';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">fat loss</a> has become very difficult in this day and age.</p>
<p>But don&#8217;t panic, I&#8217;m here to the rescue.</p>
<p>Here are 6 reasons why arm fat and fasting don&#8217;t mix:</p>
<p><b>1. Less calories burned.</b> Once you submit your body to starvation mode, expect a massive decrease in metabolism. And a slower metabolism translates into less calories burned, even while you&#8217;re dreaming.</p>
<p><b>2. Biggest rebounds.</b> Having a weight gain rebound is the most demoralizing thing because it makes you feel like your efforts were in vain, not good!</p>
<p><b>3. Non-sustainability.</b> You can only fast for so long. After a certain point, the need to eat will be too great. If you keep on fasting your health will be in danger.</p>
<p><b>4. Uncontrollable eating urges.</b> Every scent of food will set you off. You&#8217;ll have vivid day dreams of eating massive quantities of food. This will become more of an issue for those women who keep on exercising while fasting.</p>
<p><b>5. Massive lethargy.</b> Your body loves carbohydrates for energy. But without carbohydrates it can manage with <a href="http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/Supplements" style=""  rel="nofollow" onmouseover="self.status='http://www.musclefitnessclub.com/go/Supplements';return true;" onmouseout="self.status=''">protein</a>. When you fast, your body gets neither.
