Even More Essential Tips for Good Health

walkingHere is a look at ten essential tips for good health, which involve diet, weight loss, good nutrition, fitness and movement and other aspects of your health. Tie these ten essential tips together and you will have a picture of good health and wellness.

Essential Tip #5 – If you are exposing yourself to any type of pollution, then now is the time for you to protect yourself.

If you cannot simply live in an environment that is free of smog, that does not mean that you cannot take steps in order to avoid rooms that are filled with smoke, as well as a number of other areas where the pollution is more than your body is really cut out for experiencing. For example, you can avoid breathing in a lot of off put from cars simply by refusing to exercise near any area where there are a lot of cars. This way you will not be breathing in those bad highway fumes while you are trying to improve your health. Another example is simply to avoid areas of high traffic in general because more traffic leads to more carbon emissions and more pollution going out into the air and then directly into your lungs.

You should exercise outdoors only when the smog rating is particularly low for the day, and make good use of your weather channel to know when this is. You should exercise indoors with the air conditioning on whenever the indoor air quality happens to be particularly good. You should fill your yard with plenty of healthy shrubbery, as they are going to deter dirt from the street and air pollution from bothering you at home. Pollutants can really disrupt your health if you let them, so take a stand against them and keep pollution from marring your good health and your attempts at good overall wellness as well.

Essential Tip #6 – If you are not wearing your seatbelt, then now is the time for you to do so.

The statistics for years have been showing that simply by wearing your seatbelt you can contribute to your longevity. Wearing a seat belt is also going to help to alleviate the potential for injuries which are unfortunately inevitable when it comes to car accidents. Since you cannot determine whether or not you are going to be involved in a car collision, it is simply better for you to play “better safe than sorry” by buckling up. Consider this: It means one less thing for you to worry about when you’re driving, as you probably have plenty else to worry about on a day to day basis besides your health while in the car.
